These icons were taken directly from the SVG file for font awesome… http://fontawesome.io/license/ The basic steps to add a new icon are… 1. Download font awesome 2. Find the name of the icon you want to use. For example, “bicycle” http://fontawesome.io/icon/bicycle/ 3. Find the character code for that icon in the font awesome CSS file. For example, “f206” font-awesome-4.6.1/css/font-awesome.css 4. Find the glyph for that character code in the SVG file. For example… font-awesome-4.6.1/fonts/fontawesome-webfont.svg 5. Copy the “d” property of the element. Make a copy of one of the current icon files, and give it a new name. For example, “bicycle.svg” 7. Open your new icon file in a text editor, and paste the “d” property over the one in the file. It should look something like this when you’re finished… 8. Open the your new icon file in Illustrator (or your favorite vector editing program) and resize the icon to about 20 pixels tall and wide at most. You may also need to flip it vertically. 9. Save the file, and you’re done!
